IT’S HERE!
Recorded
in 22 action packed days and nights between October 06 and
February 07 at Brunswick’s Thirty Mill Studios, the
stunning new album ALRIGHT ALREADY is dripping with ink
and out through Soundvault records. Launched at the world
famous 2007 Port Fairy Folk Festival to fantastic response,
it follows the acclaimed INNER SOUL (04) and the quirky
ep FLAUNT YOUR SWEETNESS (01).
Bachelor
of Jazz Richard ‘Tank’ Tankard, the big hairy
keyboardist from Blue Heat, Shane Howard band, Things of
Stone of Wood, Andy Alberts and the Walkabouts, and, recently,
Jimmy Barnes at ‘Fill the ‘G’, leads the
Dilemma through a soul/jazz/blues/funk workout, with the
occasional wink to pop.
Featuring
the fine work of the full TD line up, the album showcases
the talents of Jon Emry (drums), Ruben Shannon (bass), Matt
Hewson (sax) and Matt Trenery (trumpet). Between them, they
have appeared with Blue Heat, Piffen Yonnies, Neil Murray,
Shane/Damian/Marcia Howard, Gorgonzola, The Borderers, Extreme
Sprinklers and Andy Kirkland.
Previous
live staples ‘He who Hesitates’ and ‘Set
the Agenda Brenda’ are now joined happily by the new
kids - ‘Come Over’, ‘Get Outta my House’
and the jazz 6/8 closer ‘For More’. The introspective
guitar jangle comes from “Penultimate Days’
and “Cellar’. One style it ain’t. And
that’s the Dilemma.
